Olive Luff House - Bethany Ground Floor
The ground floor of the Olive Luff House provides care for 11 residents diagnosed as suffering with Dementia. The 11 single bedrooms have en-suite toilet and washing facilities. As well as the 11 bedrooms, this specialised Home has 2 activity rooms, a lounge and dining room, a quiet room and a hairdressing room. There is also a keypad door security system and an enclosed garden with raised flower beds, summer-house and potting shed.
The accommodation has a high staffing ratio which includes a full-time activities co-ordinator. All staff who work in this Home have received appropriate training in dementia care.
There is a high emphasis on meaningful occupation in the Home both in one-to-one and group activities for the residents, who have freedom of choice at all times. In addition residents will be able to join in with other activities taking place within our complex, such as the weekly Church service, if they so wish.
