Short stay/Respite Care
We keep a single room, with en-suite toilet & hand basin, in the Main Home for short stay/respite care, which is available for people to come into the Home for a holiday or to give home carers a short break. Unfortunately, we are unable to use this accommodation to take people for short stay or respite care who are suffering with dementia, We can however meet high dependency physical care needs in the Main Home for short stay periods.
Short stay accommodation would need to be booked in advance. If you have used the short stay room before then we would need only an application for the short stay period with your preferred dates, however if this is your first application then we would need a full application form completed. Please note, short stay dates would need to be confirmed by the Home.
A twin bedded guest room is also available in our sheltered bungalow complex for family and friends of tenants and residents in the Home. This can be booked in advance for overnight stays or for longer periods. Please note that 'no care' is provided in the guest room. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, but breakfast would need to be taken in the Main Home dining room between 8am and 8.30am.
